Electrical Installation Condition Report, or more commonly known as Fixed Wire Testing, is a full safety check of your electrical system. It reviews whether your installation meets current standards under BS 7671 and confirms it is safe for ongoing use.

What Is Inspected?
Every fixed electrical element is assessed during the test. This includes wiring, boards, circuits and connected equipment. TISS Electrical engineers carry out a careful visual review followed by in depth testing to check performance and safety.
Your report will include clear outcome ratings. C1 shows a serious issue that needs immediate action. C2 highlights a risk that should be resolved quickly. C3 points to areas where improvements are recommended. FI means further investigation is required.

How Often Is Testing Needed?
The timing depends on how the property is used. Workplaces such as commercial and industrial sites are normally checked every five years. Rental properties must follow the same five year schedule by law. For private homes, testing is usually advised every ten years.
